From 28 October to 1 November, Loano will transform itself into the most famous school of magic in cinema with the extraordinary event “Loano as Hogwarts”. This event, the largest of its kind in Italy, will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the magical world of Harry Potter, offering a series of unforgettable activities and experiences.

During the five days of the event, participants will have the opportunity to go shopping in the shops of Diagon Alley, experience the exciting journey on the Hogwarts Express, participate in the “Sorting Ceremony” in the houses, follow lessons in magic, potions and divination, and participate in the evocative “Ballo del Ceppo”. In addition, there will be parades, traveling shows and numerous themed dinners to complete the experience.

The organization of “Loano as Hogwarts” is entrusted to the Centro Culturale Polivalente, chaired by Elia Toni, in collaboration with the Loanese Committee, led by Daniela Leali (president of Fipe Confcommercio). The event is supported by Genova Dreams, with the patronage of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Municipality of Loano and the Province of Savona.

Elia Toni and Daniela Leali, organizers of the event, have chosen to involve the entire city of Loano and its economic and commercial operators to ensure the success of this extraordinary event. Collaboration and synergies between all participants are essential to create a magical and engaging experience. Loano will be even more fascinating and enchanted for five days.

The event “Loano come Hogwarts” is promoted on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter saga created by J.K. Rowling. The whole city of Loano will be involved in the recreation of the most iconic places and moments of the saga. The historic center will be divided into the houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The streets and squares will be decorated with flags and banners of the houses, while the shops will “dress” in their distinctive colors. In the Josemaria Escrivà Gardens, Diagon Alley, the famous street of magical shops, will be recreated.

During the event, there will also be over 30 houses in the “magical village” where visitors can find Harry Potter-themed crafts and merchandise. Every day in the historic center there will be entertainment, shows and activities organized by Genova Dreams, such as the Magic School, divination lessons, treasure hunts, Disco Magic, the Hogwarts Express and much more. The highlight will be the famous “Ballo del Ceppo”, which will take place on October 31st in Piazza Italia.
